Even though it cosmetically resembles other Corvette models, the Double $$ gets its outrageous attitude and powerful identity from its unique pickup and electronics package. There are two passive MEC humbuckers nestled closely in the center of the body, completely covering the legendary sweet-spot that so many basses miss completely. But this beast has a sensitive side too, which can be accessed via the two mini 3-way switches that allow you to coil tap each humbucker in a variety if ways (hum canceling parallel/series, single coil). To give the Double $$ more flexibility, the passive pickups are matched to a MEC 2-band preamp, making this behemoth a true passive/active hybrid bass " the best of both worlds. If you look beyond the wild electronics you will see that the Double $$ features some of Warwick´s most valued components. A select swamp ash body for warmth and snap, an ovangkol neck for strength and growl, bell brass frets for resonance and longevity " all these elements blend beautifully to create the perfect performance palate for you and your passion.

Ash Body and Maple Neck
The STARGAZER-5's ash body gives you an extra-resonant tone with crystal-clear highs, well-defined mids, and powerful lows. The 34-inch scale bolt-on maple neck helps emphasize the body wood, and boasts a rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. Mother of pearl block inlays complete the classic look.

EMG Pickups and Active 2-Band EQ
In the bridge position MMHZ is a passive pickup with a dual-coil design for low noise and plenty of output. Featuring EMG's CS design (Ceramic and Steel), this has the punch and fullness of older passive designs with added brightness for a better-defined tone. The MMHZ is wired for both dual-coil and single-coil use, changed through the push/pull volume pot.

The SJHZ pickup in the neck position features a stacked design, using ceramic magnets and a laminated steel core to increase output and lower noise.

Adjust the master blend between the two pickups, and use the EMG Active 2-band EQ with selectable frequencies for further versatility, dialing in your tone just right for any application.

Graph Tech "Tusq" Nut
The precision Tusq nut is made with Graph Tech's "man made ivory," which couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and is impregnated with Teflon to improve the tuning performance of your guitar. Play as hard as you want, bend a few steps, and your strings glide back into tune. The highly resonant material also means you'll get more richness and harmonics from every note.
